
Terms and Conditions
Bookings are normally for full weeks commencing Friday to Friday (Christmas and New Year may vary). Bookings are from 4.00pm on the day of arrival until 10.00am on the day of departure. Occupancy restricted to stated maximum number (excluding babies in cots).
A non refundable deposit of 30% is required. The balance of 70% is due 6 weeks before the holiday start date. Bookings made less than 6 weeks before the start date must be paid in full at the time of booking. We accept payment by sterling cheque.
Please note that bed linen is provided. A cot and high chair can be provided, at no additional charge – please remember to request, and also, to bring your own linen for the cot. Electricity and gas, central heating and hot water are all included in the price.
All members of the your party must agree to -
- leave the property in a clean and good condition as found upon arrival
- keep the property secure when left unoccupied during your holiday and
- pay for any damage / breakages and any missing items from the inventory.
- not to cause any nuisance or disturbance to people staying nearby.
Number 2 The Gyles is a non-smoking apartment. Pets are not allowed.
The owner or owners’ agent reserves the right not to accept arrivals after 9.00pm, and to require an additional payment, equivalent to one day’s rental, for late departures.
Use of Number 2, The Gyles is at the holidaymaker’s own risk. No liability shall fall on the owners or owners’ agent for injury to the holidaymakers or for loss of personal property belonging to the holidaymakers. We recommend that holiday insurance should be taken out. The full price is due for cancelled holidays and although we will do our best to re-let the cottage we recommend that holiday cancellation insurance should also be taken out.
Holidaymakers have the right to occupy the property for the purpose of their holiday only – Section 12(2) and paragraph 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act applies.
By signing the booking form and / or by making an email, internet or telephone booking with deposit / payment made by cheque you are deemed to have accepted these booking conditions, and you must ensure that all members of your party understand and comply with these terms.
The owner or owners’ agent reserves the right to demand the immediate departure of any holidaymaker/s not complying with the booking conditions, or for any conduct detrimental to the property.
